Color me rad vs color run9/16/2023 ![]() At the Color Me Rad race you start out fresh and clean (we recommend wearing white) but once the race starts the color party begins! Color Bombs of pink, purple, yellow, green and blue are tossed at you in colorful hazes as you run a 5K. The Color Me Rad 5K in Orlando will be held at the Central Florida Fairgrounds on Colonial Drive, west of downtown. But the participants of the Color Me Rad race in Winnipeg will finish looking black and blue, but also red, green, yellow or any other colour. ![]() You can run with a team or run individually. Those under 18 must bring a waiver signed by a parents or guardian. It is important to pick up your packets (race bib, t-shirt, sunglasses, tattoo) prior to race morning because lines can get long.Īnyone can race, and racers 7 and under are free, but they must run with an adult. Packet Pick-up details will also be made available then. Info for race day will be available 2 weeks prior to the race. They are the world’s largest sports organization for people with intellectual disabilities with 4.2 million athletes in 170 countries. If youre allergic to the metric system, corn starch, or unbridled joy, youd probably be more comfortable watching Matlock than at the starting blocks of this. The Special Olympics transforms lives through the joy of sport, every day, everywhere. This Color Me Rad 5K event in Orlando is benefiting the Special Olympics. ![]() The powder thrown by volunteers is a non-toxic. With registration, color runners will receive a number, a pair of sunglasses, a Color Me Rad tattoo, t shirt, packaged color bombs, a Zumba warmup, and an all out color bombing. This years event will have eight color stations, double the amount of color stations of any other 5K color runs. Racers can choose to run, walk, or jog the course - and even pause to battle it out with color bombs. Along with the run, participants can get messy by throwing and being hit with colored corn starch, leaving everyone splattered with bright colors. Our amazing colored powder will have you lauging throughout the course as you participate in. Color Me Rad 5K is a charitable and fun race that benefits non-profit organizations.
